CAMALEÓN DE PAPEL (2009) MARÍA ELÍA - DIEGO PENELAS

Chronic Recording

(…) They now bring a second album with a much more mature artistry and a repertory centered in the inspired creations of Penelas which also comprises compositions of the likes of Peter Gabriel ("Washing of the Water”), Lennon-McCartney (“Mother Nature Son”), Luis Alberto Spinetta (“Fuji”), the Cuban Vanito Caballero (“Aixa”) or Sebastián Monk (“Una de las tres Marías”). The art of Mario Gusso’s drums is a priceless luxury, in addition to special guests such as Willy González, Alfredo Zuccarelli, Sebastián Espósito and Liliana Herrero. And they play the main role of the singing voices. María Elía and Diego Penelas achieve a wealth of material, with great songs so well interpreted in a language that does not seek to revolutionize music but contemplates work, care and respect.

Compositions of Diego Penelas, Peter Gabriel´s band versions, as well as Lennon and McCartney and Luis A. Spinetta are included. Guests such as Liliana Herrero, Willy González or Nora Sarmoria. Enchanting new music worthwhile enjoying
